I come from a large family - one of seven children. My mother had to work to support us - household and caring for younger siblings fell onto the older children - I was the one that took on the job because my two older sisters took jobs outside the home to help my mother support the family.
I think it is important to always know where the children are and keep a constant watchful eye on them. I like to play games that challenge their minds and help them to think and solve. I feel to sit in a house all day is not good. Children need to go outside and play or see interesting things that can be a fun and learning experience. I do believe that you need to set boundries especially with safety issues. The experiences that they get as children will stay with them into adult hood. Having a good a loving home is very important and parents that also want to be a major part of the childrens life. I have a great sense of humor and believe that laughter is good for children. I believe that encouragement and praise is very important part in raising children - it gives them a positive feeling and a ability to know that they can achieve goals in the future. I like to encourage the ability to work together as a team as will as doing a task on your own. If you start early in life the childern will have this ability for future endeavors. I worked at a college and met various types of students. I could see difference between the students that were raised with caring and loving parents that set boundries. The students that were not raised this way struggled in their studies and had problems socially. I feel I could be a great assest to a family. I think it is important to always know where the children are and keep a watchful eye. I like to play games that challenge their minds and help them to think and solve.
