Additional Information Childcare style I believe childcare should be approached with love, patience, lots of smiles, and confidence in the child's own ability to learn, grow and succeed in life. The adult's role is to provide a safe and nurturing environment with adequate boundaries in which each child has a chance to explore and discover to develop physically, intellectually, socially and emotionally. Discipline should be appropriate to the age of the child and stated in firm, yet positive terms, with the ultimate goal being to help the child develop a sense of security and to gain self control.
