I am originally from South Texas but have lived in Ohio for a few months now. I have a twin sister so I understand multiples' relationships with each other. I also have a younger brother so I understand how non-multiple siblings interact with each other.
I am very caring and understanding when it comes to issuses with kids. I tend to have high expectations because I have seen that kids will live up to or down to what is expected of them. I love kids and understand that everyone as moments that they are having a bad day and just need to be left to work it out on their own. I am also fairly good at knowing when to step in and coax them out of their bad mood and back into the fun the family is having.
I tend to be a very loving person who like to give hugs when someone is upset but I do know when to use other methods such as playing a game or giving the child/person quiet time. I tend to be laid back but strict when needed. I believe in postitive reinforcement for discipline. I have had success using a responsibility chart with the children I take care of now. I believe in making a plan with the parents ahead of time on what they like to have done with their kids and how they like discipline to be handled. |
