  About Me

I spent some time in Astoria over January and loved it so much that I moved here at the end of May. I nannied for a family in the beginning of the year and would love the opportunity to nanny for a family again. I love working with children and find it very rewarding.
I grew up in a single-parent household after my father unexpectedly passed away when I was five. My mother raised me as a parent, but also as a friend. She is my best friend to this day and I provide childcare with the idea that it is important to not only look after a child's well-being, but also befriend them so that they trust you if they are having any difficulties. My mom has taught me to be a warm, kind, nuturing person who provides undivided attention to children in my care.

Ages at start date- 2 year-old boy, 4 year-old girl
When I began to sit for Mary Kate and Alex, I was approached by their mother after a teacher recognized my special relationship with the children during a sunday school lesson. Soon after, I became a member of their family, and still am considered today. My experience was great and the only reason I left was to attend college.
My duties included: I potty trained the toddler boy. Invented fun games for the children. Traveled to many places with the family. Cooked healthy meals for the children. Helped children learn proper social skills. Light housekeeping duties.

Ages at start date: 3 year-old twins.
Ethan and Lucas were quite a handful when I first sat for them. Their parents were overwhelmed by their often "naughty behavior. " I decided to advise the boys' mom, dad, grandmother, and full-time housekeeper on more effective parenting techniques.
My duties included: Creating and supervising a chore chart to learn greater responsibility. I watched the boys on daily outings around the City. Potty trained them both in two weeks. Advised parents on more effective parenting techniques. Improved their behavior in one weeks time. Provided them with healthy and nutritious meals.
