  Work Experience & Education Background

10 years experience, 3 references
I have over 20 years of experience in teaching children from infancy, toddlers, preschool and kindergarten ages. Throughout the years I have accompanied my sister and brother care for their children. From when my sister's daughters daughters were born til the age of 12 years old I looked after them, brought them to school, helped with their homework, taught them how to read and write and be creative. Over the last 3 years I took care of my brother's 3 boys who are the ages of 3, 9, and 11. I helped them with their school work, and engaged them in activities to learn all that they are learning in school. I taught an autistic child on weekends, and three brothers- one was hearing impaired, the 2nd and 3rd in the regular grade school after school hours.

If I were to be hired in any household as a nanny I would engage children in activities such as:
-Prepare a daily chore chart that children will adhere to develop positive work attitude
-Set a conducive work environment free from environmental distractions
-Prepare a work station where educational material 'come on' abound
-Set time from creative story telling
-Prepare healthy and visually appealing meals that any member of the family may partake
-Introduce them conservation habits as in water, tissue, paper towel use
-Introduce social grace skills and basic courtesy
-Enjoin them to do exercise routines to keep them energetic
--Introduce them to games that will teach them sportmanship
-Last but not least, teach them the values as: "Cleanliness is next to Godliness, "Honesty is the best policy. " "No two people are the same, " and other worthwhile character traits.
