  About Me

I am a 21 year old college student looking to major in Elementary Education in hopes offl becoming a fourth and fifth grade teacher. I have been babysitting since I was eleven years old and have a love and passion for children. I have watched children between the ages of 6 weeks to 10 years and all ages I find something special about. I worked with my mom a lot in her preschool classes at church and working with her and the children was an absolute blast. I love watching children learn, grow, and be happy. That's why I have continued to work around children for as long as I have an basically have dedicate myself to teaching them. I love music and am always singing something from nursery rhymes to anything else. I love to laugh, have fun, and be outside. I would love to get to know and spend time with your families.

Jennifer Muriby-Ortega
I worked with Jennifer for a large part of my babysitting time. I had met through another family that had suggested me to her. I started off as someone to help at her home and then later progressed to being a frequent sitter on the weekends. Over time, I became the family's main child care provider. I mainly provided care for her youngest son from the time he was almost 2 years old until he was 6 years old and her middle child from age eight until he was 13. I very much enjoyed being able to provide care for her children. They we were very sweet and an all around pleasure to be around. My services I provided to the family included light housework, laundry, some grocery shopping, carpooling, some cooking, running errands, some office organization, as well as assistance with homework. I thoroughly enjoyed being able to play with the children and just getting to be around them and watch them grow and be able to see how I was able to assist in their growth.

Andra Ingalls
I worked with Andra and her family for an entire summer as well the occasional date night when I was 13 or so. I met Andra through a church that I attended while living in Connecticut. At the time the ages of her four children ranged from one year to almost 10. I was started at Andra's as a mother's helper and was responsible for helping her feed the children and keeping them busy while did things around the house. During that time I was responsible for taking care of any injuries or issues. I did have slight authority while there. I later progressed to being a full time babysitter and during that summer would work from nine in the morning until about three or four in the afternoon. While there I was responsible for some light cooking, play time, and general child care. On the nights Andra and her husband went out I was responsible for bathing the two younger girls (as the two boys were old enough to bathe themselves) and getting all of the children to bed on top of the previous responsibilities I named. The kids were such a joy. They were all very creative in the games they played and the activities they did. They were also very well behaved and I loved every minute I got to spend with them.
