  About Me

I am a 23 year old Master's student at SUNY Buffalo State College I will be completing my masters come August and cannot wait. Last May I received my BS in Elementary Education with a concentration in English.

I come from a family of of five; this includes my parents, my older sister Lauren and my younger brother Ryan. I grew up with honest, caring and responsible values. We always sat down to dinner every night and asked each other about our day. As a family, we'd cheer each other on at sporting events, my cheerleading games and dance recitals. About three years ago, my parents moved to California due to a job my father had filled. We try to see each other as much as possible and make the best of distance.

I love to bake and cook. Trying new recipes and experimenting is always fun. I like to take hikes, walks, as well as run, swim, play can-jam, volley ball, soft-ball (I am in a summer league as we speak). I like lots of things girly. Painting nails, doing hair and shopping. But I also enjoy leggos, shooting hoops and throwing around the football.

I have been a babysitter/ nanny for the past 11 years of my life. I have babysat anywhere up to five children at one time. Currently, I am nannying for a Jewish family for about a little over a year. They have two girls, ages 4. 5 & 7. They are energetic and very loving. I do many tasks for this family including and not limited to: organzing bedroom closets, cabinets, drawers, home office etc, cooking, heavy cleaning, daily laundry, baking, running errands, grocery shopping, baths, swim lessons, ballet lessons, birthday parties, gymnastics classes, bed time, pet care, decorating, managing activities and appointments. Being a part of their entire families life is very important to me. Through out the time I have been with this family, I have be familiarized with many Jewish values, beliefs and songs.

I look forward to hearing from you.

  Work Experience & Education Background

10 years experience, 4 references
Every summer for the past 5 summers I have taken on full-time babysitting jobs. I would be with the children 5 days/week and anywhere between 6-8 hours a day.

During my undergrad I had many part-time sitter jobs. Sometimes I would get children off the school bus and help them with their homework. Other times it would strictly be weekends or over nights.

When I babysit children, depending on their age, I like to ask them what interests them or what they like to do first. That usual sparks some sort of interest in their favorite movie, toy, show, game etc. and they lead the way. If a child is bored or misses his/her parent(s) I normally make jokes, tell them about myself, suggest another game/toy, ask if they want to bake something or if they're hungry/tired. Of course this all depends on the age of the child.
