My name is Gloria G. my parents are Dominican but I was born in New York. I am a very family oriented person, and I am the second oldest from six children, I currently live at home with my mother sisters and brother. I help my brother niece and nephew with their homework and I take them to the park so that they can enjoy some time together, I love to watch them grow and learn new things. I love to listen to music, write, read and watch movies mostly documentaries. I enjoy taking my dog out for a walk and to the dog park. I also help my mother around the house with cooking and cleaning. |

Work Experience & Education Background |
|
|
1 years experience, 3 references |
The first time I worked with children it was during the summer, I worked for PAL Summer Camp. I was the youth counselor for the sports team, the group consisted of children from the ages of 9 to 13. I use to take the kids to the park and to the track field so that they can play around, mostly exercise and practice for basketball games along with other counselors. My second childcare work experience is the most recent one, I have been taking case of two children for the past year. The girl is 6 years old and the boy is 8 years old, I take care of them from Tuesday to Sunday. On weekdays I pick them up from their house and take them to school, then in the afternoon I pick them up from school, cook, help them with their homework, give them a bath, read to them, and put them to watch television for about 30 minutes or let them use the computer until their mother comes to pick them up from my house. I don't just provide the children with what I want them to learn or do, I also like to sit down with the parents so that we can discuss a way for which the kids can learn and play at the same time, because I believe that if the children are enjoying what they are doing they won't go against it and they will enjoy to learn new things. |

I am a high school graduate, I went straight to college, I attended L. I. U. Brooklyn Campus for a year then stopped because the school is private and I wasn't able to get all the financial help that I needed in order for me to continue attending the school. I then went to The New York School for Medical and Dental Assistants, and got my Medical Assistant certificate. I am currently trying to enroll myself back in school so that I can study Business Management and Social Work. |
