  About Me

I am currently a New York City special education kindergarten teacher in Manhattan. I graduated from NYU in 2011 with a B. S. degree in Childhood Education, Special Education and Psychology. While I do love teaching, I have decided to move towards a career in which I can become more deeply involved in children's lives. Currently there are 20 students in my class and 10 have learning disabilities, so I am very experienced in dealing with multiple children at a time and having to multi-task. I also have experience in caring for children in a less formal setting such as many babysitting clients over the past 10 years, being a camp counselor for many summers, as well as caring for my cousin who has a developmental delay and requires much patience and care on a regular basis. I would be able to start working at the end of the current school year (the end of June 2012).

I am a strong swimmer, organized, and have a valid driver's license. I am very creative, energetic, and willing to travel. Throughout my years as a babysitter and teacher, I have gathered many educational materials that I could use with your children.
