  About Me

I believe one of the most important things in life is to have a career that gives you a sense of purpose and accomplishment. A career is so much more than making a paycheck. If you have meaning in your career, then you'll achieve fulfillment in all areas of your life. That is why I am becoming a Teacher. I have achieved my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education – 6th grade; and will be taking the teacher certification test this summer; and likely start teaching in the fall. I am passionate about teaching and nurturing children to reach their full potential and feel this is one of my main purposes in life.

Nevertheless, the most important part of my life is my devotion to my 5 year old daughter. My life has truly been fulfilled since she was born. I have always known I wanted to work with children, however, when my daughter was born, my desire to inspire children became more personal and boosted my confidence to fulfill my dream; not only for myself, but to be a good role-model for my daughter.

It would be an honor to be able to help other families with childcare this summer. I am very flexible and will likely be available when needed, day or night. I look forward to hearing from you all.

I have achieved my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education - 6th grade from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I passed the Special Education Teaching Certification Test and am scheduled to take the Generalist K-6 teaching test this summer. It is my hope to begin teaching at the elementary level in the fall. I accomplished over 80 hours of classroom field experience while attaining my degree. Additionally, I volunteered at 2 local elementary schools as an assistant in the classroom. I currently do not have any professional experience working with children. My past work experience includes working at Allstate Insurance and USAA as a licensed insurance agent. I am now focusing on passing the teaching certification test so I can pursue my true desire to work with children. I am confident I have the knowledge and ability to provide the utmost care for your children not only because I have a degree; but more importantly, because I am a mother too.
