Hello, thanks for reading about me. I would love to be your child's caregiver. I have 22 years of public school elementary teaching experience, two years as a nanny, 30 years as a mother of 7, and one year as a school age day care director. As a live-out nanny I cared for infant twin girls and 3-year-old boy, did the housework, laundry, some cooking, transportation, etc. I am a National Board Certified Teacher. (retired) I have been a coach, camp counselor, community volunteer and also I love to use computers. I am a reliable and dependable employee and rarely get sick. I know many sports, songs, collect children's literature, games and crafts, love organizing play dates, bake and cook with children. I love pets, live alone, and was born and raised in Maryland. I own two insured vehicles, have a valid Maryland driver's license, clean background check, and clean driving record. I have current Basic First Aid, CPR, and AED. I can start immediately and look forward to working with you and becoming an integral member of your family. I am currently employed in a short term position with another family and would like to relocate to the Syracuse area for the next 3-4 years in the next two months. Great luck in your search and have a lovely day. |

Work Experience & Education Background |
10 years experience, 5 references |
Most recently I have cared for an autistic 3 year old and kindergartener, then 40 school age children in before and after care, then infant twins and toddler, students ages 6 mos-11, and my own 7 a children now ages 18-30. I also have Alzheimer's training and experience with Seniors. Primarily I am safety minded and follow the wishes of the parent for all the children's needs. I love to play, sing, dance, play sports, swim, and act with children. I know the academic goals and expectations for each age and how to teach to a child's individual likes and needs. For behavior I have consistent expectations for politeness and manners. I use constant communication with a strong English role model and keep children apprised of daily activities, give transition warnings, use redirection and lots of positive praise. I can be a very hands on nanny or allow children to structure their own independent time. I love to play traditional and creative games and dislike television viewing or video game playing. I do require wearing shoes in the house. Please contact me if you are serious about finding a reliable, hard-working and loving nanny for your children. Three of my adult daughters are now located in New York and I am interested in joining them. |
