Hello.
My name is Mckinzie J.. I am 22 years old and grew up in Cedarville, Illinois. I come from a wonderful family of 3 children. Our parents taught us the value of education and strong moral values from a very young age. We learned to take care of each other and household duties with joy. When I wasn't fulfilling family responsibilities, I often babysat other children in our neighborhood. I learned from a young age how to manage children, educate them, cook, clean, and be dependable, safe, and responsible. I also learned how to have fun and create positive and creative recreational activities that promoted growth and education for the children I cared for.
I received my post high school education from the University of Illinois at Chicago where I earned my Bachelors Degree in Health Science. I majored in Nutrition Science, which has taught me the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I supplemented my required courses with many additional classes, such as Psychology, Sociology, Communication, and many others. This diversity of education provided me with many tools to teach, communicate, and care for children effectively. I value education very highly and did well in all my schooling endeavors, receiving a 3. 6 GPA.
The hobbies I am most passionate about are swimming, running, hiking, cooking, and teaching. I have been a competetive swimmer since the age of 10 and was fortunate enough to compete at the collegiate level. For countless years I have used my swimming skills to teach and coach the sport to all ages. I have also been involved in teaching culinary and nutrition courses. This past summer I worked at Wellspring Adventure Camp, a weight loss camp for kids, where I was a camp counselor as well as the nutrition/culinary instructor. It was a very fun and rewarding adventure. My hobbies have helped me learn how to positively influence others, taught me a lot of self-discipline, and have been the source of so much personal joy.
In summary, I do not drink or smoke. I am honest and dependable. I am very health conscious. I am very self-disciplined. I am enthusiastic and happy. I have a background working with children. I am certified in lifeguarding, first aid, CPR for adults and infants, as well as AED. Most importantly. I LOVE kids :) |
