I am 21 years old, and currently seeking employment in the child car field. I graduated high school in 2008 and went on to attend the University of Bridgeport, in Connecticut. After attending U. B. for two semesters I was forced to relocate back home to RI due to financial difficulties. After returning home I began working full time to manage living expenses while also attending school full time. After two semesters of managing school and work, I decided to take a break from school until I became financially stabled. I recently relocated to New York and am seeking immediate employment. I have worked with children from the age of 13 both professionally and personally; and genuinely enjoy doing so. I plan to become a child psychologist in the near future :) In addition to my love for children, I also enjoy organizing & cleaning. I am kind of a neat freak & find myself always straightening something up. I enjoy being outdoors and was employed through a summer camp for four consecutive years; where I directed a challenge course. I believe success is defined as being educated, financially stable, and happy. I love being given the opportunity to be a positive role model, set a good example, and have an influence on a child's future. I take pride in m work and am extremely responsible and reliable. I am down to earth but am well aware of the line between care taker & friend. |

Work Experience & Education Background |
9 years experience, 5 references |
I have cared for children ages newborn and up on a personal level. I frequently babysit my nephew, younger cousins, and godchildren. I have experience in changing diapers, bottle and spoon feeding as well as mending to the everyday needs of the children. I have also worked in camps with ages 6 -14 ensuring their safety and well being. I was also in charge of making sure the children where following the camp rules and enjoying themselves in the mean time. I understand that each child is different and has his or her own personality and have the ability to adapt to any situation I am placed in. I have also worked with special needs teens ages 14-18. I am aware of the extra attention and care needed when dealing with disabled individuals. I am not afraid to ask for help when needed, and am an extremely fast learner. I will provide love, and care to any child that is left in my care; to the best of my ability. |
