  About Me

Hello families.

I will be graduating from Roosevelt University this coming December and am looking forward to finding a wonderful family to nanny for soon after. I will be graduating with a Bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in philosophy. I am planning to take a bit of time off of school to nanny but am very ambitious about a future career. Specifically, I plan to go into a graduate program for marriage and family therapy, and to someday obtain a Psy. D. in clinical psychology.

For the present, though, I am hoping to find a family to help full-time. Ideally, I would love to nanny for a newborn and have experience with multiples so I am very open to twins or a nanny share.

  Work Experience & Education Background

2 years experience, 5 references
I have approximately 10 years of experience as a caregiver. I have become very experienced with newborns in the past year through nannying part-time for a set of twins since they were 2-months-old (and are now 11-months-old). As a nanny for infants, in addition to providing loving and nurturing care, I value positive and stimulating interaction, and do my best to assist them in their emotional, mental, and physical development and instill confidence in themselves.

Specifically, my experience with the twins has included: Bottle feeding and solid foods, preparing formula, diapering, bathing and dressing, putting babies down for naps, and providing mental stimulation. When the twins were younger, I kept daily records of feedings, naps, etc. to ensure they were on a consistent and healthy schedule and to note any possible irregularities. Also, I make sure to clean up after the twins, take care of their bottles and dishes, as well as their laundry.
