I am one of six sibilings, and I was a military brat. I have 3 brothers and 2 sisters. My oldest brother and sister are twins, following my older sister, myself, and 2 younger brothers. We have always maintained a close relationship between us and communicate with each other on a regular basis. We grew up traveling all over the U. S., and upon my father retiring from the military, we toured this beautiful country for a year. What an experience. for my father has 2 master degree's, one being in history and the other in english, venture to say, we did alot of historical sight seeing, and were tutored that whole year on our adventure. Having been raised in a home where love abided 24/7 just made it that much easier to walk in love for all walks of life. I really found a greater love for children when I was about 12 yrs old and started babysitting for the neighbors. I really felt and still feel at a young age I had that motherly instinct, love, and compassion that comes with maturity, and I know now it was because thats all I knew from my parents and older siblings, and it was passed on to me to give to my 2 younger brothers, whom we all had to help watch and care for as well, it was like a domino effect the oldest looking out for the youngest. When we finshed our tour in 1978 we settled in the state of Florida, a small town called Ft. Walton Bch. I was then at the time 15yrs. old and started babysitting for neighbors and new found family friends. We settled in a beach house community on an island called Okaloosa, where many high influential people lived, and with word of mouth it was'nt long before they became regular clients. I stayed busy on the weekends, and come summertime it was non stop. When I was 18yrs. old I was approached at church from a lady named Betty Kent. She was the owner of an agency called "Nanny's Sitters" I was asked about taking a position with her company and becoming a registered nanny/caregiver with this agency, I took the position and the rest is history. I also later took a position with an agency called "Agape" I worked in this feild off and on for 20+yrs, between raising my own family, and going to culinary school, and college.
