It is important to be able to communicate to the elderly. Unlike children, the elderly have routines they do while still able so it is important for me to know this so I will be able to do this the way the elderly wants.
As a caregiver I need to be sensitive to the elderly feelings, much as I will be incharge of keeping the elderly fed, bathed and groomed.
I also believe that a care giver is patient to cater to the elderly calls an request and must have a good listening heart to make the elderly feel somebody is willing to hear old stories being retold and retold.
