| As a volunteer project I worked with elementary school students at McCarver elementary School last year. The goal of the project was to give these kids who have been living in poverty hope and to open their eyes to the possibilities in the future. I had my own group of 6 kids and each day that I would come to their class I would bring them together and we would work on a project that would emphasize team work. I made sure that they would work the project out, but I was always there to help them if they needed it. The purpose of those exercises was to show that alone people can get things done, however there is an entire community around them and if they worked together they could do much more than they possibly imagined. |
