  About Me

Hello. I’m Rue, a childcare professional who loves helping kids grow with confidence and joy. I have years of nannying experience, including caring for children before and after school as well as during summers, and I currently work as a Lead Childcare Specialist at the YMCA. In that role I manage groups of 20–30 kids, which has strengthened my patience, creativity, and ability to meet children’s needs in all kinds of situations. While I love the energy of group care, I’m excited to return to nannying so I can focus on building a closer relationship with a smaller number of children and truly support their growth day-to-day.

A little about me: I’m originally from Seattle and moving to Las Vegas soon. I’m family-oriented, dependable, and happiest when I’m helping kids learn, laugh, and feel safe. I enjoy music, being outdoors, and finding creative ways to keep children engaged—whether that’s crafts, games, or exploring new activities. Parents often describe me as nurturing, responsible, and fun, with a natural ability to balance structure and play.

I look forward to supporting your family’s routines and being a positive, reliable presence in your children’s lives.

  Work Experience & Education Background

2 years experience, 2 references
My previous nanny experience include the summers between the school-year, in which household support transitioned to before and after school care, I cared for a family's home, children, and pets. responsibilities included daily creating daily age appropriate activities, aiding in morning routines, pet care, household upkeep, cooking, transporting kids for out-of-house activities, and homework help.
I’ve spent the last year in a half working in childcare as a Lead Childcare Specialist at the YMCA, where I care for groups as large as 30, infant to twelve years old. Even with so much going on, I make sure every child gets the attention they deserve. I love building real connections, helping kids form friendships, and meeting them where they’re at. Whether that means being extra patient with an over-thinker or gently encouraging a quieter child. I believe in creating an inclusive, supportive space where kids feel safe, understood, and excited to grow.
